PONSSE Scorpion’s Future Cabin received the Fennia Prize design award
One of the most significant design awards in Finland was given to PONSSE Scorpion’s Future Cabin. In addition to Ponsse, Fennia Prize recognitions were given to Posti Group Corporation, Nokian Heavy Tyres Ltd and Myssyfarmi Oy.
In the design of Future Cabin, the Fennia Prize jury appreciated research and development based on customer feedback, focusing on the forest machine operator’s well-being and comfort, as well as improved working conditions. Other criteria included Ponsse’s sustainable solutions that support forest health and the environment.
“Customer feedback has always been valuable to us. It has guided our actions throughout our history, and will always continue to do so. It’s truly wonderful that Scorpion’s Future Cabin received such a respected design award. Thanks go to our customers, the project team for their excellent work, and design agency Aivan,” says Juha Inberg, Technology and R&D Director at Ponsse.
Fennia Prize is one of the most significant design competitions in Finland. It is organised by Design Forum Finland and Fennia, together with the Finnish Patent and Registration Office and Elo. The aim of the competition is to recognise companies and organisations that use design broadly in their activities, including products, services and business concepts.
In addition to Ponsse, Fennia Prize design awards were given to Posti Group Corporation for its service update, Nokian Heavy Tyres Ltd for the Nokian Tyres Ground King with Nokian Tyres Intuitu™ smart tyres, and Myssyfarmi Oy for its Myssy concept. The Fennia Prize Grand Prix, the most prestigious recognition of the competition, was given to the HEI Schools early childhood education concept.
