Sisu Auto and Rumble Tools partner to integrate intelligent robotics into tactical vehicles
Sisu Auto and Rumble Tools have launched a strategic partnership to integrate autonomous robotics into Sisu’s heavy tactical vehicles. The cooperation focuses on the SISU G-Series – GTP, GTT and GTL – combining Sisu’s vehicle platforms with Rumble Tools’ autonomous aerial systems and docking technology.
The partnership brings together Sisu Auto’s expertise in heavy-duty vehicles and off-road mobility with Rumble Tools’ autonomous aerial robotic systems. The companies aim to develop new tactical capabilities for defence and security applications and offer the solutions globally.
Sisu Auto has nearly 95 years of experience in developing and manufacturing military and heavy-duty vehicles for demanding operating conditions. The company says the partnership supports its strategy to develop next-generation intelligent vehicle systems.
Robotic helicopters as vehicle guardians
The cooperation will utilise Rumble Tools’ Low Altitude Economy (LAE) system, a dual-use technology being adapted for battlefield applications.
Autonomous robotic helicopters operate from docking stations mounted on the vehicle roof. According to the companies, the system is designed to improve situational awareness and force protection.
The system uses swarm intelligence, allowing the aircraft to deploy from one location and return for recharging at another. It is also designed to communicate through different satellite networks.

Partnership supports Sisu Auto’s C4Imobility programme
The cooperation is also linked to Sisu Auto’s C4Imobility technology programme, which focuses on next-generation vehicle solutions. Key areas include sensor technology and situational awareness, intelligent sensors, secure communications systems, advanced protection solutions and autonomy.

Founded in 1931, Sisu Auto is a Finnish manufacturer of military vehicles and heavy-duty commercial vehicles for demanding applications. The company directly employs more than 180 people. Sisu Auto reported revenue of approximately EUR 91 million in 2025 and forecasts revenue of EUR 175 million in 2026 and more than EUR 220 million in 2027. Exports account for approximately 80 percent of the company’s turnover.
