Volvo Trucks launches special edition to celebrate its 100th anniversary
Volvo Trucks is introducing a new 100 Year Edition of its FH and FH16 models. The special edition marks the run-up to Volvo’s 100th anniversary in 2027 and features distinctive exterior and interior details.
Following a series of recent upgrades to its heavy-duty truck range, Volvo Trucks is now offering its flagship FH Aero, FH, FH16 Aero and FH16 models as a new 100 Year Edition.
Inside the cab, the anniversary edition features several upgrades aimed at improving driver comfort and ambience. The seats have been redesigned with a two-tone concept combining premium leather with grey textile featuring an embroidered anniversary motif. Tan leather details have also been added, matching the striping on the truck’s exterior.
“The 100-year edition truck is a celebration of what we have achieved so far over the past century, and a very special truck in more ways than one. The interior is both modern and premium, as well as an homage to Volvo's history. The design was inspired by our Swedish heritage and the professionalism that comes from years of innovation and progress, alongside our customers' trust and passion,” says Jonathan Disley, Design Director at Volvo Trucks.
Illuminated doorsteps and welcome light
The special-edition trucks feature unique illuminated doorsteps and LED strips on the console, which can be set to provide either red or white ambient lighting.
Another new feature is a welcome light displaying the anniversary motif, which is projected onto the ground outside the truck when the door is opened. The same motif appears on new 3D-printed speaker grilles, while the curtains feature a line-up of Volvo truck models from the past 100 years.
A thicker and more luxurious floor mat has also been added, finished in a unique black and grey mélange design with tan leather details.
“This special edition represents the peak of Volvo’s truck design and manufacture over the past century: the result of 100 years’ worth of continual improvement in safety, quality, driver comfort, productivity, fuel efficiency and emissions saving,” says Jan Hjelmgren, Head of Product Management at Volvo Trucks.

The Volvo 100 Year Edition is available with most of the powertrains and chassis configurations currently offered for the FH Aero, FH16 Aero, FH and FH16.
The FH range has recently received significant powertrain upgrades across its electric, gas and diesel models, improving performance, range, energy efficiency and power.
The FH range has also performed strongly in Euro NCAP’s truck safety tests. So far, the Volvo FH 4x2 tractor, FH 6x2 rigid, FH Aero 4x2 tractor and FH Aero 6x2 rigid have all received five-star Euro NCAP ratings.
The Volvo 100 Year Edition is the latest in a series of Volvo Trucks special editions. Previous models have included the Volvo FH 25 Year Special Edition, Volvo FH Aero Euro NCAP Special Edition and Volvo Ocean Race Limited Edition.
The new anniversary edition will be available to order from September 2026.
